Fresh Beginnings, the food gifts supplier based in Valdosta, Virginia, announced in a statement that the company will close permanently on June 30, 2022, after 30 years in business.
The company said it will still process orders received by June 14, 2022, and final shipments will occur no later than June 22. Any shipment scheduled after that will be canceled unless distributors make arrangements to ship before that date.
Founded in 1985 by Judy and Hugh Hathcock, Fresh Beginnings partnered with ELead1One, a customer service software company catering to the automotive dealer market, and became its partner company. In 2018, after rebranding ELead1One to CDK Global, the company acquired Fresh Beginnings.
“In recent years, CDK has focused on strategic investments that help automotive dealers remove friction from the car-buying experience,” said Tony Macrito, director of exterior communications for CDK Global, according to Yahoo. “As standard practice, we regularly evaluate our long-term strategy and business portfolio to ensure we’re focused in the right areas. As part of that process, we have made the difficult decision to close the Fresh Beginnings bakery at the end of this month.”
“We sincerely thank you for your business throughout the years,” the Fresh Beginnings statement reads. “It has been our pleasure to serve you.”
